I am so excited about sharing this blog with you all! I've been dying to blog this wedding since the day I photographed it! :)
The weekend Bridget and Khamel were married is a very special one; not just because of their gorgeous wedding, but because my wonderful husband and I were also celebrating our sixth anniversary!
I had originally turned down many weddings for that specific weekend so that Ed and I could spend it celebrating our anniversary, but when Bridget reached out to me about her wedding with Khamel, we had a change of heart. Ed and I both agreed there was no better way to kick off our own anniversary weekend than with the marriage of an amazing couple!
I met Khamel when we bought my first Apple computer at least seven years ago! He was my in-Apple-Store trainer (I am sure there is a better term for this) and I was able to take some one-on-one tutorials with him. As we chatted, I found out that he also had an interest in photography, and a friendship grew! To this day I still enjoy seeing his photos online and am always impressed (and envious!) with his creative angles on Instagram.
When Bridget and I connected, it was an easy decision to say yes to being a part of their special day. When I met her for the first time, I knew I made the right decision to photograph this wedding. Both Bridget and Khamel are such wonderful people; sincere, kind-hearted and so easy to talk to! I felt like we were old friends chatting, not people in a client meeting. These two make a great couple, and it was an honor to be asked to be a part of their day!
Now, it isn't every day that Ed and I get to photograph a wedding together, but he shot this one with me. See, with the birth of our daughter Charlotte, Ed had to take a step back from the photography business; and while I love my second shooter Heather, working with Ed every now and then is an extra special treat. :) I think this was an even more meaningful way to start our anniversary weekend.
Ok, enough babble; let's get to this beautiful wedding!!!! Like I said, I have been dying to share it with you; I had so many favorites as I edited!
